About Recut

I founded Recut in 2017, combining both my love of woodwork and my passion for the environment. Based in Stockport, Recut specialises in making low carbon furniture and home items from locally sourced wood using storm damaged or diseased trees that have naturally come to the end of their life. Our mantra is simple; high quality craftsmanship, produced in as environmentally friendly way as possible.

With sustainability at the forefront of our minds, we ensure that we use eco-stains, waxes and oils. We strive towards a zero waste business, constantly considering and reviewing processes to see how we can reach further towards this goal.
